Introducing Maleek Studios

This is the first post from Maleek Studios. We have been building for a while now, and it is time to properly introduce ourselves.

Who we are

Maleek Studios is a small team of engineers and designers based in Lagos, Nigeria. We build four things: games, websites, automation systems and connected devices. Most of our projects touch more than one of those categories, which is exactly why we keep them under one roof.

What we are building

Our flagship project is Bloodline Wahala, an open world action RPG set across 12 real African cities. It is the game we always wanted to play but nobody had made yet: a story about family, loyalty and the choices that shape both, set in places that look and feel like home.

Alongside the game, we take on client work. Websites that bring in customers, tools that save teams hours, and systems that actually hold up after launch. Every client project feeds back into how we build the game, and the game pushes us to get better at everything else.

Bloodline Wahala

Why we started

It started with freelance work in 2024. One person, taking on projects for clients who needed things built properly. By 2025, the idea for Bloodline Wahala had taken over, and it became clear that this was bigger than a solo effort.

In October 2026, Maleek Studios became a proper team. Engineers and designers who care about the details, working from Lagos and beyond.

What comes next

We will be posting here regularly: development updates on Bloodline Wahala, things we learn from client work, and the occasional deep dive into how we build things.

If you want to work with us, start a project. If you want to follow along, subscribe to the newsletter at the bottom of the page or find us on Instagram and X.

We are just getting started.
